Learning how to be innovative without spending a dime

There are some people who feel innovation requires buying something to make a process quicker, but taking a task that seems endless and creating a unique path to completion can make us much more productive and we haven't broken the bank to do it. What's next? Think of that task and what the necessary parts are to complete that task. Take a new look at these parts and arrange them so they are more orderly. Voila! Innovation! No cost. Better idea.

There was a cost though - the time/salary of that person who thought of the innovative idea.
